Bauingenieurstudium an der Technischen Universität München. Später Promotion an der Universität Innsbruck mit Auszeichnung. Seit 2005 Entwicklungsingenieur bei Getzner Werkstoffe GmbH in Bürs im Bereich Forschung & Entwicklung. Von 2007 bis 2011 parallele Anstellung als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Infrastruktur der Universität Innsbruck. Schwerpunkte in den Bereichen Simulation, Laborprüftechnik und In-Situ-Messungen. 2014 Nominierung für den Staatspreis Innovation, Übernahme der Verantwortung als Leiter des Teams Systementwicklung. Seit 2018 Head of Research & Development Railway Division.
