Noise and sound reduction is a central topic in the development of heat pumps - both for airborne and structure-borne noise. For this, efficient vibration isolation must be ensured. The elastomers Sylomer® and Sylodyn® have proved particularly suitable for elastic mounting. The Isotop® product range was developed especially for heat pumps. Similar to rubber-metal buffers, it combines the advantages of elastic PUR materials with those of metal elements. Vibrations are thus effectively damped and their propagation into adjacent parts of the unit, e.g. housing or building, is effectively prevented.
Sound isolation with Isotop®, Sylomer® or Sylodyn® has proven itself for the bearing of the entire outdoor unit or as a compressor component bearing. Especially compressor mounting with Isotop® MSN-DAMP or Isotop® Compact vibration dampers has proven to be a very efficient mounting for the reduction of primary and structure-borne noise.
