Getzner receives Silver Medal in EcoVadis sustainability rating

Bürs (AT). Getzner Werkstoffe has been awarded the Silver Medal in the internationally recognized EcoVadis sustainability rating. The company achieved 76 out of 100 possible points, earning the EcoVadis Silver Rating for the first time.

With this result, Getzner Werkstoffe now ranks among the top 8 percent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide, placing it among the leading performers in its industry segment.

EcoVadis evaluates the overall sustainability performance of companies across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Getzner Werkstoffe was able to improve in all categories, sending a clear signal of continuous development and responsible business practices. New content was also included in the assessment, such as a sustainability report including a materiality analysis, a corporate carbon footprint, enhanced corporate values, and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for Sylomer® and Sylodyn®.

EcoVadis is the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings. Since its founding in 2007, it has assessed over 125,000 companies and established a global network. By providing sustainability ratings, EcoVadis aims to enable companies to reduce risks relating to sustainability, drive improvements and accelerate the positive impacts of sustainability activities on the environment and society. The EcoVadis rating indicates the quality of a company’s sustainability management system at the time the assessment is carried out.
