Entering a room produces so-called impact noise, which is a special type of structure-borne noise. Impact noise radiates into the adjoining rooms and creates disruptive noises. This can become a problem – particularly in multifunctional buildings, such as commercial buildings – if a kitchen or a fitness centre is located above office premises, for example.
The elastic bearing of the floors over an Acoustic Floor Mat or the use of Acoustic Floor Blocks counteracts this problem. These soundproofing measures are made from the materials Sylomer®, Sylodamp® and Sylodyn® and offer many advantages.
Together with our partners we implement floating floor projects around the world.
Diverse use of the structure (approximately 2,500 m2 of usable space)
Reduction of structure-borne noise and secondary airborne noise
