Machines and plants generate vibrations during operation. These can often be felt and heard as vibrations and noise by people in adjacent residential and working areas. If vibrations are transmitted to the structure of the building, they can damage structures. In production processes in particular, machines and plants are often situated next to sensitive measurement and testing equipment, and the vibrations that occur can affect the accuracy of this equipment. A suitable vibration damping mount can prevent this.
Isotop products as anti-vibration mounts
An elastic bearing, for example through the use of vibration damping mounts, is indispensable in machine and plant engineering, as vibrations and noise are effectively reduced. Our Sylomer®, Sylodyn® and Sylodamp® materials are ideal for these applications. The Isotop range guarantees convenient installation (e.g. as AV mounts). Isotop products are used as dampers and combine metal springs and elements with Getzner PU materials. They replace conventional pads made of natural rubber and metal and are also used as vibration damping mounts if required. The advantage of an Isotop anti-vibration mount and other Isotop products lies in the fact that their elastic properties can be calculated precisely. This means that optimum vibration damping is determined for each individual application, Isotop products such as the anti-vibration mount also boast a consistently reliable level of vibration isolation spanning decades. PU materials are free from softeners and exhibit no tendency towards temperature-related stiffening. Depending on the version, Isotop products are equipped with an internal thread or threaded rods and can be screwed onto equipment and devices.
Isotop products such as the vibration damping mount from Getzner are easy to install, maintenance-free and are consistently effective throughout the service life of the system. As the bearing is individually calculated and adapted as needed, it is possible to achieve a low natural frequency coupled with greater effectiveness.
