Shortly after inaugurating its new production facility in Baramati (Near Pune) in March 2026, Getzner further strengthened its engagement in India by participating in the India–Austria Business Summit, held during the state visit of Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker. The summit provided a valuable platform to deepen economic cooperation and foster dialogue between businesses from both countries, while reaffirming Getzner’s position as a trusted partner in India’s rapidly advancing infrastructure development.
Getzner CEO Jürgen Rainalter and Getzner India’s CEO and Resident Director Sanjay Risbood met with Chancellor Stocker and Austria’s Minister for Economic Affairs Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.
During the visit, Jürgen Rainalter also attended a luncheon hosted by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reflecting on the experience, he remarked, “It was an incredibly impressive experience to be a guest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is inspiring to witness leadership, cultural depth, and strategic foresight at such a remarkable level.”
This state visit marked the first by an Austrian Federal Chancellor to India in over four decades, underscoring the strong and trust-based relationship between the two nations. The visit also led to the signing of forward-looking agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.
