SYLOMER

Sylomer® is a sophisticated polyurethane material (PU) with an even balance of resilience and damping characteristics. Thanks to this exceptional combination, Sylomer® effectively reduces vibration and related structure-borne noise everywhere from railway lines to buildings or machinery. Sylomer® features an open-celled structure and is highly elastic; its long-term behaviour is scientifically proven and the material's effectiveness has been tried and tested over decades. The Sylomer® series contains a wide range of different product types, ensuring the perfect solution can be selected for the respective load situation – and no matter how challenging the technical conditions. Specially developed for safety-critical applications, the flame-retardant variant Sylomer® FR meets the highest fire classification HL3 (Hazard Level 3) in accordance with EN 45545-2.

The Rushmore Building – Riverside Boulevard NYC

The Rushmore Building in Manhattan is a 130-metre high building with 41 floors close to Times Square in New York. With this project, the challenge lay in constructing the two-towered building complex above the rail tunnel used by New York's AMTRAK line.
