Vibration isolation from Getzner ensures a quieter voyage and comfort on board.
Vibration and secondary airborne noise significantly impact on the sense of well-being of those on board, to the extent of detracting from outstanding design, innovative technical features and luxurious interior fittings.
Innovative products for vibration isolation from Getzner enable the inner hull to be entirely decoupled from the outer hull. Walls and floors as well as sources of disturbance, such as drive systems, engines, pumps, air-handling units and jacuzzis, have been bedded on Sylomer® in yacht construction projects for many decades now, so as to effectively suppress vibrations.
Advantages
- Significantly greater levels of comfort
- Compliance with internationally stipulated noise levels

Mechanical and hydrodynamic processes on vessels – triggered by engines, pumps and drive systems – cause vibrations and secondary airborne noise.
Goal: To protect the "M.Y. Excellence" from undesirable vibrations and to keep the noise level to a minimum
„Ever since I've been sailing this yacht, I've been impressed with how quietly and gently she glides through the water. Thanks to the special bearing solution provided by Getzner, engine noise and vibrations have been reduced to a minimum, allowing the qualities of the luxury yacht to come into their own.“Captain John G. Brazel, Captain of the «M.Y. Excellence»
