Vibrations and disturbing noises are also caused by mechanical equipment and other technical building systems. Sound insulation with bearings made from Sylomer®, Sylodyn® and Isotop decouples noises in the location where the vibrations are generated. With an elastic bearing, items of equipment are acoustically decoupled from the structure and vibrations and noise are reduced. As a result, fewer noise emissions are transferred to pipes and ducts that are routed through walls and ceilings.
